AISI 316 stainless offers a chemical make-up or compound that is highly resistive to corrosive environments; namely coastal or salt-water environments where oxidation causes a breakdown in the integrity of the metal. For a better return on your investment for corrosive environments, Indital USA strongly suggests using the AISI 316 stainless grade parts.
