Biltmore Partners with Torneados Muñoz and Indital USA

4.19.2010

Asheville, N.C. -- Biltmore® and Torneados Muñoz of Spain have announced a new partnership to create a collection of newels, balusters and accessories that reflects architectural details seen in Europe during the Renaissance period. The hand-carved turnings in furniture, corbels and lighting seen throughout George Vanderbilt's Biltmore House may now be incorporated into any Europeaninspired new home or remodel.

In a joint collaboration, Biltmore's licensing division and Indital USA, the Houston-based distribution partner for Torneados Muñoz, will be launching the collection in time for the April 2010 start of national building season.

All turnings from the Biltmore Collection by Torneados Muñoz are made of European Beech, which offers consistent grain structure and staining capabilities. The collection may be easily matched to new or existing hardwood floors, doors and crown molding of various species.

Product Introductions:

Sanzio

The Sanzio Collection is reminiscent of George Vanderbilt's taste in fine art. As an avid collector, he traveled the globe in search of great works. It is his legacy that inspires the beautiful turnings of the Sanzio Collection.

Portico

Named for the grand opening leading to the illustrious Biltmore Carriage House, the Portico Collection is sure to make the entrance to any staircase a grand one.

Vanderbilt

The stunning Vanderbilt family crest features an acorn and oak leaf motif, and George Vanderbilt used this same motif in various places throughout Biltmore House. The pieces in the Vanderbilt Collection incorporate this motif and are destined to make any home stunning.

Fleur de Lis

One of the most renowned architectural elements is the Fleur de Lis. It was also one of George Vanderbilt's favorite elements and is featured prominently throughout his house. The Fleur de Lis collection is inspired by this timeless design.

Guastavino

The Spanish architect Guastavino did much of the tile work found in Biltmore House. It is his legacy of craftsmanship and attention to detail that inspire the Guastavino Collection of etched newels.
